EMDR therapy in Arizona & Oregon
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing is a type of therapy involving the use of bilateral movements to make a disturbing experience feel further away and decrease its disturbance. It also shifts our irrational beliefs to more adaptive ones. Through this process we can begin to heal the parts of ourselves that have been keeping us in survival mode.
When it comes to complex trauma, the patterns we developed in childhood can still show up for us as adults. Some of these patterns may have been necessary for survival back then, but maybe we don’t need them anymore.
You’ve tried therapy before, but you still feel stuck.
Maybe you’ve been to therapy before, but the shift was only temporary. Maybe it helped at the time, but you want to gain deeper insights and delve more into yourself to make deeper connections.
But you’re still feeling…
Overwhelmed by decision making
Disconnected from yourself
Unworthy of your needs being met
EMDR therapy can help you be more present for yourself, and in your relationships.
